USPS Tracking Setup

ShipScience leverages the USPS 3.2 Tracking API

We have a platform USPS account, but for high-volume shippers in order to guarantee timely tracking updates we recommend setting up your own API keys so that we can guarantee timely data due to rate limits.

To acquire your own USPS API Keys for tracking:

• Sign in, or register for a USPS Business Customer Gateway account
• Enable access to USPS APIs (will request access from administrator, or directly from USPS)
• Create an "App"
  • Select My Apps on the top of the COP Business Portal Page
  • Retrieve your Customer Key and Customer Secret from the credentials section (save these locally & securely, you will enter these within the ShipScience portal secret manager in a following step).

Within the Data Sources section within ShipScience, navigate to USPS - Tracking, and click Add Account, save those credentials.
